About this Session:
Burger Consulting Group’s Christian Burger will join James Benham (CEO at JBKnowledge, Inc.) and Frank Di Lorenzo (Client Relationship Manager at Preferred Strategies) for a discussion on small contractor technology best practices. Three, five-minute video presentations will cover a vast array of technology topics focused on small contractors. The session will conclude with an open forum to further discuss other issues of importance and a short update on CFMA’s Diversity and Inclusion efforts.
Session Objectives:
In this session, attendees will learn about key business processes that should be automated and that are changing:
- Labor Management and HR – Automating time-keeping, employees updating their own systems, and scheduling (equipment & labor)
- Procure-to-Pay – this includes purchasing, subcontract management, and invoice processing & payment
- Billing (including Contract Management) – Estimating and pushing it forward to include subcontracts; pulling it in from operations
- Job Cost; Migrating from QuickBooks to Construction ERP – Reasons to switch and solutions that fit small contractors
