Fresh from a two-day meeting in Phoenix, the IT Forum Steering committee met to discuss the coming year and plan for the IT Forum in Chicago, August 4- 5, 2016. Last year’s attendance was record breaking at over 300 attendees. This year looks to be even larger. In addition to the IT Forum in Chicago, our team discussed the Technology Showcase event at the AGC convention which is in San Antonio in March where we are responsible for several presentation topics. This year had a decidedly drone-centric theme. We also welcomed Howie Piersma from Pepper Construction as our new chairman, taking over for Lane Mitchell in April of 2016.

The Phoenix AGC Chapter was gracious enough to host our Steering Committee meeting and we reciprocated by holding a Technology Roundtable Friday morning for members to attend and discuss with us IT questions, trends and issues. Between IT professionals and practitioners, it was a stimulating meeting with tremendous teamwork exhibited.
